Your participation in this project will help shine a light on and inform potential funders and supporters as well as fellow STEM program providers and potential customers about STEM programs, opportunities, and resources you provide.
With the generous support of Microsoft Philanthropies, Children Now and the CA STEM Network initiated an effort to create a regional inventory of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education resources for educators and youth. The objective of the project was to develop an inventory that accurately reflected the STEM education landscape and assets for two primary audiences, at least initially. Those audiences were funders (and potential funders) of STEM education programs and the program providers themselves, so this community of practice could be better connected. Our goal is for the inventory to serve as a tool to better understand where and in which STEM subjects existing efforts are focused, where there might be opportunities for expansion and where there are unmet needs.
