Partnerships Deliver Resources

January 18, 2019

Skeletons are instrumental for high school anatomy classes—but many high schools don’t have the budget for such expensive equipment. A creative local partnership is coming to the rescue for one local high school, bringing together students from Cal State East Bay and Hayward’s Tennyson High with a donated 3D printer.

With the “Skeleton Recycle, Reprint, Reuse Community Engagement” project, juniors from Tennyson High’s Communication Media Management Association program are interning at Cal State, working with undergraduates in the Kinesiology and Multi Media Studies Departments.

The team will print a full skeleton that can then be donated to back to Tennyson High.
