Representatives from Delta Electronics, Illumina, Lawrence Livermore National Labs, and Sandia National Labs shared their work and offered professional advice to more than 80 students pursuing STEM degrees and professions. Bayer and Berkeley High School STEM Exploration Day

A collaboration between the Bayer Campus in Berkeley, the City of Berkeley's Office of Economic Development, and the Institute for STEM Education created an opportunity for twenty Berkeley High School students to work with STEM professionals to take on an engineering challenge, learn about the complexities of career pathways, and tour a world-class biotechnology manufacturing site. The event was part of an initiative dubbed “Berkeley Ventures, Berkeley Values” to build bridges between the fast-growing high tech sector and students who might not otherwise consider STEM careers.
